Why?

I used to be a blogger. Eventually, most of the sites I reported and blogged for were either bleeding money and shut down, or bought by private equity companies that extracted all the value out of the sites before shutting them down. I've missed writing in this format for a while, and my disgust at the moral and financial corruption pervasive throughout our political system has far outgrown 280 characters. So, here I am.

I'm hoping to write at least twice a week and figure out a consistent format and schedule as I go along. Expect a lot of posts about U.S. politics and capitalism and labor, as well as a little bit of music and personal writing here and there.
